MUDRAS ASSOCIATED WITH KUNDALINI

When you visit a temple & see hand MUDRAS of deity, pl.
don't think it is imagination of sculptor, they really exist in
human nature at higher SPIRITUAL LEVELS !! When
KUNDALINI rises these mudras get displayed involuntarily !

IDA,PINGALA,SUSHUMNA NADIES & CHAKRAS

KUNDALINI CHAKRAS

Mudras are hand gestures that seal or lock in specific energy
experiences and that bring forth the innate experience of bliss
within us. Precise positions of the hands channel the universal
energy into our being for very specific purposes. They control
the direction of energy and encourage healing. Rich in
symbolism, they embody and open communication with the
archetypal energies in the universe.

A man has enormous reservoir of energy within him. Kundalini
Shakti is one such cosmic power that lies dormant in the
Muladhara Chakra near anus. Yogis awaken this power by
Kundalini yoga and take it to the crown of the head by piercing
the chakras of the sushumna, one of the important nadis. The
other two important nadis are Ida and Pingala. Both these
subtle astral tubes correspond to left and right of the
sympathetic chains. Ida flows through the left nostril and gives
a cooling effect while pingala flows through the right nostril
and emits warmth.

Yogis tell us that moon is the presiding deity of Ida and sun is
the presiding Deity of Pingala. That is why sometimes the left
nostril is flowing, sometimes the right and sometimes both.
When left flows, it is the Ida nadi that is operating. At that time
one should perform simple and peaceful works. But when the
right nostril is flowing, it is Pingala that operates. Then one
should do vigorous and hard works such as exercises, eating,
bathing, etc. Also , one should sleep during that state ,
because Pingala digests the food quickly and bestows sound
sleep. But when both the nostrils flow, it is Sushumna nadi that
is operating. That is the time for the practice of meditation,
repetition of the Lord's name, prayer and enquiry.
Sushumna, the best of all nadis, arises from the basal plexus
and passes through the spinal column, through the subtle
channel of the spinal cord, up to the crown of the head. All
Chakras or mystic centres are situated in it.

This life force (kundalini Shakti or prana shakti) is the
animating power that flows through all living things. A living
person is filled with it; a dead person has none. It is also the
life energy one senses in nature, in the cosmos around us .
It is this indwelling force that manifests as the feel of a
direction or  a pattern frozen with an instant.

All living beings have this life force (prana or kundalini Shakti)
it is the cultivation, expansion, harnessing and use of this force
(kundalini) is important. In yoga this done by the activating the
subtle system of channels called nadis and centers of energy
called chakras which look after our physical, intellectual,
emotional and spiritual being .

When Kundalini rises MUDRAS naturally built in human

spiritual system comes into fore & gets displayed through
hands. Kundalini gets activated when the Yogi prays in front
of a deity, recites stotra, nama japa, concentrates in
meditation, hears Gods Leela, miracles, supernatural powers,
etc.

Initially he is in
PRARTHANA MUDRA(ANJALI MUDRA)
(Pic1) like any other people, within minutes his mind goes
blank & he is as athma with hands displaying AVAHANA
MUDRA as shown in Pic-2 in the initial stages.Tears of
BHAKTHI flows down consistently, which may take place
for three,four years or more.

OR ANJALI MUDRA

In later stages, when the Yogi starts with PRARTHANA
MUDRA(Pic1) or meditation as in Pic4 & Pic5 with
GYAN MUDRA / CHIN MUDRA it may end up in
UPASAMHARA MUDRA(PIC3) using both hands or Left Hand
with CHANDRAKALA MUDRA(PIC10/11) & RIGHT Hand
indicating ABHAYA HASTHA.(PIC6/7)

Another MUDRA that appears at the end stage of KUNDALINI

jagrithi is SHIKARAM MUDRA which is RIGHT HAND held at
shoulder level with thumb extended upwards, other four fingers
closed-in indicating SUPREMACY.- (PIC-2A)

RIGHT HAND IS MUDRA OF SUPREMACY

(NOT LEFT HAND AS IN PICTURE)
Those who are having previous birth efforts to their credit
KUNDALINI JAGRITI takes place naturally where DIVINE
manifestation exists & not with long drawn sadhana practice.
Anugraha of DIVINE FORCE should be on you & it takes place
naturally ! Sadhana made in this birth may yield results in this
birth itself or in subsequent births.

OTHER ASPECTS OF MUDRAS

Benefits of Mudra Practice

It would be interesting to note the benefits of

mudra practices--the effects that they have on

the mind, body, psyche and bio-magnetic fields
.
Below are just a few worth considering that are

directly palpable or perceptible through personal

experience:

Health

I.Q. improvement

Empowerment of the Aura

Expansion of consciousness

Awakening of the three aspects of kundalini

Acquisition of siddhis (paranormal powers)

Transformation & regeneration of the physical body

MUDRAS CAN BE USED FOR HEALING DISEASES &
TO REMAIN HEALTHY

FIVE FINGERS REPRESENTING FIVE ELEMENTS
The science of Mudras is based on the principle that "The root cause of disease is the imbalance and improper co-ordination between these elements and proper balance between these elements is the secret of good health." The secret of health lies in hands, fingers and Mudras, which can be performed with the help of fingers.
Human body is composed of five basic elements and the five fingers of our hands represents these five basic elements. Ancient Sages discovered the knowledge of Mudras. By touching of hands to each other or folding fingers in a particular way, we can cure any disturbances in these five elements with the help of our fingers, we can keep the five elements in proper proportion, any disturbances in them can be balanced. So that our body become healthy.
The human body, like the Universe, is made up of fusion of five elements. Body's health depends on the proper balance of these five elements in our body. Mudras help maintaining this balance. Mudras are like control buttons of chetana of our body and their proper study help us not only to control five elements but also to cure many diseases and remain healthy.
