BIRTH-DEATH CYCLE & LIBERATION

--- PUNARJANMA(REBIRTH) CYCLE & LIBERATION

Even though MAYA is unreal, it has it's own basis,
system & rules. One jiva gets human birth after crores of
births as other species, because man has mind which can
think what is good, bad, wrong, right, experiences happiness,
sorrow, unlike other species.Scriptures say if a man gets
SWARGA LOKA(HEAVEN) due to accumulation of PUNYA
(result of good deeds)he will not get liberation there,so he
has to be born again as human being on earth to get it.
Therefore human birth is very valuable and should not be
wasted. The only thing man has to achieve in human birth is
liberation & not wife,children,wealth,power,fame etc.If not
crores of birth-death cycles will continue. So we should
know how rebirth takes place & liberation takes place.
            A JIVA (Athma with shariras & PAPA-PUNYA a/c)
has three types of KARMAS:--

1)SANCHITHA KARMA--accumulated karmas over many births
                                             yet to come into play.
2)PRARABDA KARMA--a portion of SANCHITHA KARMA
matured & going to play out in a
                                             new  birth.
 3)AGAMI KARMA---------present birth accumulated karmas
                                            at the time of death.
A child is born with PRARBDA KARMA,It enjoys as
per the PUNYA portion & suffers as per PAPA portion during
its life span. When PRARBDA is exhausted, death of body
takes place.
Due to actions performed during present birth, PAPA
& PUNYA accumulates which is called AGAMI KARMA.This
AGAMI KARMA gets added to SANCHITHA KARMA & the
cycle continues.
If the PUNYA is more than PAPA in the AGAMI
KARMA,you will be reborn as human being. If PAPA is more
than PUNYA,you will be reborn as animal !!
After many many births effort (SADANA),GOD's
anugraha, when the concept "I am not the body,ATHMA only"
is firmly established,MANO LAYA,MANO NASHA take place
and you see GOD in all ie,you become JEEVANMUKTHA-
liberated while living. This happens when all the PAPAS get
exhausted only PUNYA portion remains,so that his body is
maintained without doing any karmas.IN this stage,
SANCHITHA KARMA , AGAMI  KARMA get nullified &
PRARBDA only remains.

In the above state the JNANI is beyond PRARABDA also,
only others think he is experiencing PRARABDA. No more
rebirths for him, he is one with ATHMA forever !!

What happens to the PAPA,PUNYA of the JNANI
who is liberated?
CAUTION ! his PAPA goes to those who does harm,
 condemn,blame & disrespect him,PUNYA goes to those
who serve,respect & adore him !

NOT REAL, NOT REAL ....

Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam

Sri Vishnusahasranamam contains 1008 Names of Sri Mahavishnu. This entire compiling was done after the Mahabharata war & Saint Vyasa Mahamuni wrote the entire versus with answers for the queries raised by respective personnel they were part of that time.

Every Name of Sri Vishnu has a meaning to it; quite apart - the phonetic vibrations by chanting each Name known as "Nama" & the chain of names known as "Namavali" produces very fantastic results of vibrations that are very essential for humans knowledge & wisdom. What the phonetic sound vibrations create to the chanter or to the one who hears it is very well established by many eminent scholars. For attainment of spiritual liberation, one must involve himself/herself to the glories of the Lord Sri Mahavishnu, by reciting the entire slokhas.

This not only strengthens the brain neuron chips but also emits the brain wave at a very conducive limits that can revibrate the energies into one's own body. Besides, the thought & thinking of a person can also be regulated to divine path. That's the exact value, which bring every Bhakta known as devotees of Sri Maha Vishnu.

The birth of Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama - The 1008 Names of Sri MahaVishnu.
The legend would have it that at the end of the epic Mahabharata war, Bhishmacharya was awaiting the sacred hour to depart from his physical body unto the lotus feet of the Lord. Yudhishtira, the eldest of the Pandavas, was desperately looking for the answers to matters relating to Dharma & Karma.  Lord Sri Krishna, who understood Yudhistira's uneasy mind, guided him to Bhishma to learn insight in to this precious knowledge.
It is relevant to mention that Bhishma was acknowledged to be one of the twelve most knowledgeable people.  The other eleven being Brahma , Narada , Siva , Subramanya , Kapila , Manu , Prahlada , Janaka , Bali, Suka and Yama .
As directed by the Lord, he meets Yudishtra. At their meeting, Yudhistira presented Bhishma with six questions.
1. kimEkam dhaivatam lokE?
Who is the greatest Lord in the world?
 2. kim vaapyEkam parAyaNam?
Who is the one refuge of all?
 3. stuvantam kam prApnuyuh mAnavah
     subham?
By glorifying whom, can man attain peace and
    prosperity?
 4. kam arcanat prApnuyuh mAnavaah
     subham?
By worshipping whom can man reach auspiciousness?
5. kO dharmah sarva dharmANaam bhavatah paramO matah?
What is, in thy opinion, the greatest Dharma?
6. kim japam mucyatE jantur janma samsAra bandhanAth?
By doing Japa of what, can creature go beyond the bonds and cycle of birth and death?

Bhishma responded by reciting the one thousand names now hailed as the Vishnu Shasranama, & reminded him that either by meditating on these names or by invoking the names through archana (Offering), our minds can be lifted to higher consciousness.
Indeed, such a long recital of nAmAs glorifying the Lord & His splendor is rare in the world. Indeed the expression NaMa is made up of Na for Naramandala and Ma for manas, our Mind.  NaMa, the chanting of which helps to unite our nervous system & Mind.
The main body of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama consists of 107 stanzas which contain the one thousand names of Sri Maha Vishnu.  Every one of the one thousand names is full of significance & refers to one particular guna (quality, characteristic, or attribute) of Paramatma.
These names invoke a sense of bonding with the Lord.  The meanings of the names give us an understanding and depth of God as there is a deep connection between the name and the named.
Why were these 1008 names chosen?
Does the Lord get absolutely defined by these one thousand names?  The Vedas affirm that God is neither accessible to words nor to mind.  It is said that you cannot comprehend the Paramatma with the human mind alone, even if you spend all your life trying!  Given this infinite nature of the Paramatma, who is not governed or constrained by any of the physical laws as we know them, the choice of a thousand names of Vishnu by Bhishma should be recognized as a representation of some of his better known qualities that are repeatedly described in our great epics.
Some might say that they do not understand the meaning of the Sanskrit words, & therefore do not feel comfortable chanting them.  But learning the chanting of prayers even without knowing the meaning is a worthwhile act, & can be compared to finding a box of treasure without the key.  As long as we have the box, we can open it whenever we get the key of knowledge later.  The treasure will be there already.
Others might feel that they do not know the correct Sanskrit pronunciation, & do not want to chant incorrectly.  There is an analogy of a mother to whom a child goes and asks for an orange.  The child does not know how to pronounce the word "orange" and so asks for "ange".  The mother does not turn away the child & does not refuse to give the child the orange just because the child does not know how to pronounce the word.
It is the bhaava (spirit) that matters, & so as long as one chants the name of God with sincerity, considerations such as not knowing the meaning, not knowing the pronunciation, etc, do not matter, & God will confer His blessings on us, there is no way a devotee of Vishnu can meet with any dishonor or disgrace of any kind.
Phala Sruti - The Benefits:
Traditionally our prayers end with a phala sruti - a section on the benefits of reciting the prayer.  The Vishnu Sahasranama is no exception.
The necessity of cleansing our body regularly to maintain hygiene & good health is recognized by everyone.  But with the busy nature of today's world, we do not see our mind the same way as we see our body.  As a consequence, the need for keeping our minds clean is not appreciated.
Those who do not cleanse their mind on a regular basis become mentally ill over a period of time..  Prayers are a means to mental cleansing when they are chanted with sincerity & devotion.  The importance of chanting Sri Vishnu Sahasranama is that the deity being worshiped is none other than Vasudeva.  Sri Vedavyasa, who was responsible for stringing the naamas together in a poetic form, points out that it is by the power and command of Vasudeva that the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the world & the oceans are controlled.
The whole universe of the Gods, Asuras and Gandharavas is under the sway of Lord Krishna.  In Bhishma's expert judgment, chanting Vasudevas's name with devotion & sincerity will ensure relief from sorrows & bondage.  The person who recites is not the only one who benefits, but also those who for whatever reason are unable to chant benefit by just hearing the chanting as well.
Have a blissful life chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam

MOST DIFFICULT QUESTION TO ANSWER ! !

WHY THIS MAYA CREATION ???

M81 Galaxy pretty in pink

Unique View of the Milky Way

The structure of the Sun's corona shows well in this image from NASA's Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory (STEREO)

Full Disk Image of the Sun

               Picture Of Earth

In  last THIRTY YEARS of my STUDY & SADANA ,
above question was haunting me for an answer.I could not
find a satisfactory answer in SAINTS SAYINGS or
UPANISHATHS(part of vedas)

We know that ATHMA(SOUL) is GOD,then why this
ATHMA should take bodies of creatures, fishes, animals &
human beings? Why this MAYA creation of galaxies, stars,
sun, planets & satellites like moon?A jnani by his wisdom
will say all the above creation is NOT REAL(ASATHYA)
like dream and ATHMA alone is REAL(SATHYA)
Crores of jivas(who think they are the bodies and who have
karmas-papa,punya pending) have to suffer crores of births
till they become jnanies, that too with ATHMA inside their
bodies, why ?
One really great teacher told me that it is written in
VEDAS that CREATION should not be questioned(Srishtiyannu
prshnisabaradu).Another more common answer received was
that it is GOD's LEELA(play).HE(ATHMA) alone takes different
forms and names in crores ,by his SUPREME POWER of
CREATION BY THOUGHT(MAYA) & plays LEELA!! With whom
we are comparing ourselves,feeling jealousy,who is rich,poor,
handsome, ugly, saint, thief, rowdy and terrorist ??Every thing is
MAYA !!
For such a complicated question,is the answer
satisfactory ?

WHY SHOULD WE BELIEVE IN GOD ?

For an effect there should be a cause, for eg, this
maya universe with galaxies,stars,planets.This maya
world with land, ocean, sky with human beings, animals,
creatures,plants ,trees & our conscious being,existence.
We observe changes like season,weather,calamities
like earthquake,tsunami,hurricane,tornado.That cause
is the basis for every thing. We can call it power, force,
shakthi or GOD which creates, maintains & destroys.

In our life also we find happiness, tragedy, sorrow
taking place which affects our day to day life.We require
help to change the situation, mind aspires to be happy
always.When our efforts don't yield results,mind longs
to pray to a higher power ie,GOD which can change the
situation. We see miracles taking place by prayer, bhakthi,
love towards God which reinforces our belief in GOD.
This is applicable to people who see GOD as a supreme
power outside them.
In the case of a jnani,he believes his ATHMA as
GOD,which is inside & outside in every thing. He sees
only one ATHMA in all. This belief only can lead him
towards liberation & free him from birth, death cycle.

DEEP SAMADHI STATE-A challenge to MEDICAL PROFESSION !

IF A DOCTOR CHECKS A PERSON IN DEEP SAMADHI
STATE ,HE WILL DECLARE HIM DEAD--BUT HE IS NOT
DEAD !!

There are many types of SAMADHI STATES.
Pathanjali's Ashtanga Yoga Suthra mentions them.
RAMAKRISHNA PARAMAHAMSA used to have
SARVIKALPA SAMDHI ie,with GOD's form as KALI.To
teach him NIRVIKALPA SAMADHI ie, without any
form-NIRAKARA, GOD sent THOTHAPURI to teach
him.
RAMANA MAHARSHI also used to remain in
SAMADHI STATE.In PATHALA LINGA cellar room of
ARUNACHALA TEMPLE,he remained for three months,
unaware of his body being attacked by worms.Saint
SHESHADRI IYER arranged to take him out & gave
him a bath, food. How he lived for three months
without food, water?? Medical science has any
answer to this?
           SADASHIVA BRAHMENDRA's life story
indicates he was in SAMADHI STATE for six months
under sand due to floods, for one year under hay or
wooden  pieces.NITHYANANDA SWAMY also was in
SAMADHI STATE for long durations.
In recent times SWAMI RAMA of "LIVING
WITH HIMALAYAN MASTERS"used to go to USA &
under go research on SAMADHI STATE.In his speech
at Bangalore he told with finest instruments at USA
they declared him dead in SAMADHI STATE.What
happens is his breathing stops, his heart beat stops,
his pulse stops & looses consciousness of body. So
they declare him dead but he comes out of this
state live!!To bring these people back from
Tureeyatheetha state, others have to shout nama
japa in their ears or blow conch shell.

There are four stages in SAMADHI, they are--

BRAHMA VID-state just before entering SAMADHI.

BRAHMA VID VARA-after SAMADHI he himself will
                           come back to worldly
                            consciousness.
BRAHMA VID VARIYAN-others have to help him as
told above to bring back to
                                 worldly consciousness.
BRAHMA VID VARISTA-he will not come back to
                                worldly consciousness at all.
He has merged with GOD !

Shri RAGHAVENDRA with VRANDAVANA behind
which he entered while living
Shri SADASHIVA BRAHMENDRA SAMADHI which he entered
while living !

           Looks like SAJEEVA SAMADHI(entering tomb-
final resting place while living intentionally, like yogic
feat) of Raghvendra Swamy. Sadashiva Brahmendra,
Shri Pada at Mula Bagilu,Marula Siddeswara Swamy,
Shri Manik Prabhu Maharaj etc. is entering
Vrandavana(sitting in meditation posture in pit of
samadhi while living & sealing top of the pit by
granite slabs) going to BRAHMA VID VARISTA
stage of SAMADHI.
Shri Raghvendra Swamy has told his power
(shakthi) of SAJEEVA SAMADHI will be there for
700 years. Approximately 300 years more
remaining.
